WINDOW PANE

I was awakened by the raindrops
vaguely calling me on my window pane
there was so much the sky wanted to share
eagerly waiting to embrace the quiet lane

Stories of joy
heaviness of heart
the clouds poured it all
upon it’s beloved earth
Oh! How beautiful it was
My silent acquaintance.

Something was different today
There was movement in the stillness
radiance in the darkness
and peace in the remoteness

Appearing amongst the gloomy sky
Like a gallant warrior
The moon, surprised by my happiness
asked me “what did you fear?”

“Of people, of sickness
Or of love ?
What is it that;
Your enlightened soul cannot resolve?”

The tranquil in you can soothe strong winds
The radiance in you can drive away darkness
A force of nature, unstoppable and fearless you
How miraculously different
And yet a part of me !

And if you ever, doubt yourself again
I’ll be there, we'll meet at the window pane.
